The First Tactile Treat
The First Tactile Treat is a beginner initiative of Beyond Braille to empower the lives of the visually impaired. The tactile pictures come as a treat to them as perhaps this will be the first opportunity to fulfill their visual dreams.
According to a report published by WHO, globally the number of people who are visually impaired is estimated to be 285 million of whom 39 million are blind. Of which 15 million blind are from India making the country home to one-third of the world’s blind population. Beyond Braille works to ensure that every visually impaired gets access to quality education, but also enables them to complete schooling with dignity.
How can you make an impact?
Beyond Braille is a for-profit-based social enterprise providing support to the visually impaired community. But with every contribution you make, we ensure that the whole amount is spent on the materials and resources after deducting the expenses.
